2010 National Occupational Standards for Restorative Practice, Skills for Justice

The National Occupational Standards (NOS) are the nationally agreed standards for restorative practice, published by Skills for Justice, the skills sector body.

The four core NOS covering assessment, preparation, facilitation and evaluation, form part of the key requirements to become an Accredited Practitioner on the Register of Restorative Practitioners. Practitioners have to show their skills and knowledge mapped against these NOS through either completing an accreditation which has received the RJC's Accreditation Quality Mark (AQM) or through the passport application process.

To find out more about the Register click here.

The RJC's AQM criteria includes the requirement that accreditations must map to the four core NOS.

The NOS also form the basis for the Level 4 Diploma in Restorative Practice delivered nationally by City and Guilds.
