Consultations
As the voice for Restorative Justice the RJC often responds to government consultations on behalf of the field. We encourage members and interested parties to contact us to contribute to our responses and to suggest consultations that the RJC could respond to.
Engaging Communities in Criminal Justice
The Government's wide ranging consultation Engaging Communities in Criminal Justice has just been published, and directly asks the question of how the Government should publicise and encourage Restorative Justice.
More information about the consultation is available at CJS Online the deadline for responses is the 31st July 2009.
The RJC will be responding to the consultation on behalf of the sector. If you or your organisation would like to have input into the RJC response please contact us.
Q25) Restorative Justice has proved a positive experience for victims and can be effective in reducing re-offending. How could we publicise this and encourage community involvement in Restorative Justice projects, in particular as a service to victims?
